Here's the quickest and easiest way to start your own affiliate program:

Open an account with ClickBank.
http://resellinfo.reseller.hop.clickbank.net

It's only $49.95 one-time and you have access to
100,000+ of their affiliates to promote your products.

They do all the accounting and cut you and your
affiliate's checks.

I'd also recommend getting Easy Click Mate.
http://www.easybiztools.com/specialoffers.php?offer=resellinfo&pid=4

It allows you to maximize your ClickBank account.
It's a must have.

Other options, if you prefer to run it yourself are:

iDevAffiliate v4.0 - Affiliate Tracking Software

Ecommerce Automations

PayDotCom.com (similiar to Clickbank, but for PayPal & Stormpay)

Michael
Thanks for all the info and links.

I am ready to start selling my first eBook.  There is just one thing I am confused about - I've read that you have to test it first with PPC, is this true?  I don't want to put it out there and nobody want to promote it!  lol

With all the changes Adwords have made, I've spent a lot of time trying hard to get the squeeze page right, but I think I've done it now.

Anyway going back to PPC - do it before contacting Clickbank or not?

Many thanks
